Beats Per Minute

Beats was a departure for me in that it talked about the very personal details of rejection, love lost and occasionally relationship. It was also unusual for me to present short stories, all named after songs e.g. Lloyd Cole’s Are You Ready to be Heartbroken? I’m still not sure whether it should really be out there but for better or worse in all its vulnerability is. Beats is so titled as music accompanies our lives through every situation, thus the beats allude not only to the music but to that of the heart. The result is 25 vignettes and three interlude pieces.
